marathons and more

We woke up early today so Stacey could run a half marathon. The marathon was a good twenty minutes away and it began at 7am. Arlo and I drove her out to Sauvie Island to help cheer her on. It was Arlo's first time at a farm, he met some horses, cows, chickens and a goat. He kinda loved it. I got a little tired sitting around in the dirt, in the sun for two hours... but it was nice to see Stacey accomplish something she's been wanting to do for over a year. We celebrated by getting a good Cup & Saucer brunch and a couple shakes from Cold Stone.
And now we have decided to celebrate independence of our nation by sitting at home and watching movies (while attempting to comfort Arlo who is deathly afraid of all loud noises, especially the bangs and pops of fireworks).
Hooray!
