worst christmas ever (recap)

We had a great Christmas eve with our friends (pictured - Jeffrey, Kathryn, Stephanie, Arlo and David). Stacey got to make some delicious shrimp scampy and we played a lot of wii. We ended up slumbering over to wake up and drive Stephanie to the airport at 4am.

After that, we casually spent the worse Christmas ever together with Arlo. I was grumpy all day and we eventually had a good discussion about goals and the future. We made it out to see Slumdog Millionaire, which wasn't bad. Worse Christmas Ever.
I guess my first goal is to not be such a jerk and to get a little more motivation to do the things I want to do (and hopefully be financially rewarded by it). We'll see how that pans out.

seeing the beauty

I've noticed the snow has been getting a little under my skin lately, so I've made a decision to turn it around. It's Christmas eve and I'm working and broke (how does that happen?) My family and a lot of my friends are hundreds of miles away, but I am not down about it. I am in Portland under a foot and a half of snow with my little guy Arlo, a bunch of great new friends, a beautiful theater - and the best fiance a guy could ask for. Things are great and I'm looking forward to 2009.
